Compensation & Schedule
Weeknights are charge nurse; weekends are supervisor/charge nurse
Position requires every other weekend and holiday.
- 32 hours per week (11am – 7pm, full time)
- $38.00 to $45.00/hour (plus $5 when supervising)
- $2.50 Shift Differential ($5 – $10 when supervising)
- $1.50 Weekend Differential
- $6.25 – $9.37/hour extra when picking up extra shifts
Job Responsibilities
- Administer medication according to doctor orders/procedure
- Render and assist complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders
- Maintain current resident care plans on all residents
- Review patient records daily to assure accuracy
- Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
- Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert lists
- Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary
- Other duties as assigned as assigned by the Nurse Supervisor, DNS, ADNS and Administrator
- As a Unit Charge Nurse, you will supervise 2-3 CNAs on the 11-7 shift. As the Nurse Supervisor on your weekend* you will also oversee the house and taking a unit.
Qualifications/Required License
- Current Registered Nurse License in Connecticut
- 1 year of long term care experience strongly preferred
- Ability and willingness to supervise
- Ability to work as a team
- Authorized to work in the US
- Must go through background check process including fingerprinting
