RN Charge Nurse/Supervisor

Compensation & Schedule

Weeknights are charge nurse; weekends are supervisor/charge nurse
Position requires every other weekend and holiday.

  • 32 hours per week (11am – 7pm, full time)
  • $38.00 to $45.00/hour (plus $5 when supervising)
  • $2.50 Shift Differential ($5 – $10 when supervising)
  • $1.50 Weekend Differential
  • $6.25 – $9.37/hour extra when picking up extra shifts

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer medication according to doctor orders/procedure
  • Render and assist complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders
  • Maintain current resident care plans on all residents
  • Review patient records daily to assure accuracy
  • Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
  • Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert lists
  • Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned as assigned by the Nurse Supervisor, DNS, ADNS and Administrator
  • As a Unit Charge Nurse, you will supervise 2-3 CNAs on the 11-7 shift. As the Nurse Supervisor on your weekend* you will also oversee the house and taking a unit.

Qualifications/Required License

  • Current Registered Nurse License in Connecticut
  • 1 year of long term care experience strongly preferred
  • Ability and willingness to supervise
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Must go through background check process including fingerprinting
